Inputting Data

When you enter the data entry page you are (by default) set up to input a new record (all spaces are blank). Please provide as much information as you have available in the spaces provided and then click on the Save button when complete.

Once the record is saved you can scroll to the bottom of the page and see two additional options available to you... Add Images and Delete.

Clicking on the Add Images button takes you to an upload page where you can add as many images as you like to the cemetery record as long as they do not exceed 1mb in size per image. Image types supported are JPG and PNG. Many users will need to resize their images prior to uploading to meet the minimum requirement, and this may require image editing software if you don't already have that installed on your computer. Once uploaded, images will appear on the data entry page at the bottom of the data and above the buttons.

Clicking on the Delete button will prompt you to delete the cemetery record. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete. There is no "undo" option for this feature, so please be sure this is what you want before selecting this option.

From the data entry page you can also View Map. This will display your map and color-code the graves according to the data in your files. For information on creating/editing your map(s), please click here. Once the map page is displayed you can click on any of the white/red/blue/yellow locations to retrieve information about those graves (such as interred and purchaser information).

For information on retrieving your data via the Search menu please click here.

Another menu option on this page is the Export feature. With this option you can download the full contents of your data so that you can use that information in the desktop version of The Crypt Keeper, or you can use the files for any other application. The files are stored in text format, so a simple notepad program can view them. The columns are tab delimited. The export saves your data, your images, and your maps into a ZIP file so you can easily download it. If you are attempting to import this data into The Crypt Keeper desktop application, you must be using version 7.3.7 or higher.
