Is there any way NOT to have to post month and day of birth/death? I feel that makes my records less accurate. Many old tombstones just list year dates.

The database stores dates as whole dates, not partial dates. So what you're asking for is not going to be possible with this software.

Just list the year. It will generate "Jan 1" for that year, but you will know that 99% of dates that have "Jan 1" are only accurate to the year you entered.

If I have only a year, I add January 1 as the birth date.
