What the online version offers: No need to install anything on your computer, all you need is an internet connection Use from anywhere in the world Share with multiple users and even the outside world if you like (with limited or view-only access) Updates made immediately, no need to download patches The only functions currently missing from the online version are the ability to create invoices and produce statements. That function remains solely with the desktop application. You can login via a guest so that you can get an idea of what we can offer, or you can contact us to start using the software for your organization. Some common questions and answers... (Q) If I add data online, how will I be making sure that it gets backed up and updated to the data file in my home computer? (A) There is an 'export' feature that will allow you to make a backup of your online data for use in the desktop application for your personal use and safekeeping in the event of data loss. You must be using version 7.3.7 or higher of the desktop version to import this data, however. (Q) Will there be an auto update option when I log into Crypt Keeper online with my home computer? (A) Updates will be made periodically to the online application and they will happen instantly without you having to do a thing. Note that any updates to the online application have no effect on the desktop application. You would still need to rely on periodic patches for that application. (Q) Will my photos of the tombstones also be uploaded along with the data? (A) Yes. All the data you have inputted currently in your desktop application would be able to be imported into the online application... including data, images and maps. (Q) Will my online cemetery data be protected and encrypted? (A) Yes. The data is completely protected, however you will want to limit those that you provide with your login credentials... if someone obtains your login credentials they can access your data. (Q) What's it going to cost me? (A) The cost of the online application is a maintenance fee of $60.00 per year (billed annually). This does not cover the cost of registration of the desktop application, and registration of the desktop application is *not* required to use the online application. (Q) How do I get my data into the software for testing? I see the cemetery map upload part, but where do I upload the full archive from my desktop version? (A) In demo mode, you are not permitted to upload your own data. Soon there will be a 30-day trial feature that will allow you to import your own data, images and maps for testing purposes. If you are a member of our website you will be notified when that feature becomes available. For those that want to start immediately, you would perform a data backup within your desktop application and email that to us at tbgtom@gmail.com so that we can import your data for you.
